ABOUT AUSTEN NELSON
Greetings! I am a graduate of Indiana University\'s O\'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a First Year law student at Illinois Institute of Technology\'s Chicago-Kent College of Law. My academic pursuits have thus far endowed me with an understanding of the intricate legal framework in our society, as well as the critical abilities to analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision. While my educational journey has been instrumental in shaping my perspective, it\'s my real-world experiences that have also contributed to my interest in law. My journey began in diverse roles, from working in multiple restaurants and grocery stores, to eventually becoming a legal intern for the Salvation Army in the Summer of 2024. These experiences altogether instilled in me adaptability, resilience, and a tireless commitment to serving others, skills I will continue to carry during law school and my journey as a lawyer. My overall goal in my legal education is to became a well-practiced lawyer, a positive contributor to the vast community of lawyers and legal scholars across the United States. In pursuit of this goal, I am thrilled to connect with fellow professionals, mentors, and opportunities in the legal and political spheres.
