I started working for Ferrero in February 2009 within the energy trading Company of the Group, called Energhe. At that time the Company just supplied electricity to Ferrero Italian plants.In 2010 Energhe became wholesaler and started expanding its portfolio to third Clients out of Ferrero perimeter and selling energy and gas and I was in charge of middle office activities.In the following years both portfolios’ sizes became very important and my tasks were wide: power and gas procurement and trading, physical and financial hedging, risk management, budget and EAC drafting, origination through the set-up of EFET and ISDA contracts. Energhe was also in charge of the procurement of power and gas for all Ferrero plants in Europe, through the management of tendering process and the physical and financial hedging.With the sale of Energhe’s third Clients portfolio in 2017, a new central Department (DOSEE – Direzione Operations Sustainability, Environment and Energy) within Ferrero, with 360-degree focus on energy, was created and the perimeter of activity was extended to all Ferrero’s plants and to Supply Chain worldwide. In 2018 I became responsible for Central Procurement of power and gas for the Group, with strong focus on renewable solutions.
