I lead on assessments of the security dynamics in the Sahel and West Africa region, to suggest adaptations to World Bank financed projects. I ensure that our projects deliver results in fragile settings, and contribute to sustainable development objectives. I also contribute to the analyses of the FCV team on the coastal countries of West Africa, and ensure findings are operationalised in WBG strategies and programmingKey responsibilities- Contributing to drafting and updating of the Risk and Resilience Assessments for Benin, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire - Leading on the security analysis for Benin, Togo, and Cote d’Ivoire (security due diligence assessments) and supervising and quality assuring the analysis for Cameroon, Central African Republic and Nigeria - Setting up standards for security analysis and response, to mentor and guide the delivery of products by other consultants - Ensuring that the design and delivery of WB projects is supported by evidence-based, operational advice on conflict and security dynamics - Monitoring the implementation of security risk mitigation measures - Ensuring that programme teams and task team leaders own the analysis of the conflict dynamics and feel empowered in responding to it
