About Aundra Wallace
Serves as the President of JAXUSA Partnership, the private, nonprofit regional economic development arm of the JAX Chamber overseeing efforts of the seven counties of Northeast Florida. Directs a staff of 15 in the areas of business development, international investment, workforce development, research and marketing. JAXUSA’s mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth and maximize the region’s unique resources to aggressively recruit jobs and capital investment to the NE Florida region. Since joining JAXUSA in October 2018, has led the emergence of Jacksonville as economic powerhouse generating more than 11,800 jobs and $3.45 billion in private capital investment. A leader in managing community, economic, housing and workforce development initiatives for over 20 years, has been directly responsible for managing more than $800 million of equity, grants, loans and tax-exempt bonding capacity in addition to creating and/or retaining 17,500 direct jobs and generating more than $2.5 billion in private capital investment. While serving as CEO for the Downtown Investment Authority of Jacksonville, facilitated the leveraging of over $150 million of public investment dollars to create over $800 million in private capital investments, producing a Return on Investment of 5:1 in favor of the tax payers. Generated more than 2,850 multi-family units planned, permitted and/or are under construction; with approximately 900 hotel rooms and square feet of commercial space planned or permitted.Results-driven C-Suite executive and organizational leader with outstanding management, communication, operations, strategic planning, fiscal and analytical skills. Well-respected professional, extensively experienced in managing diverse programs and teams, collaborating with government, community organizations, businesses and private citizens, improving access to capital for businesses, job creation and developing affordable/workforce housing in underserved markets. Highly resourceful senior executive who fosters optimum team productivity, streamlines operations and generates significant cost savings. Serves on the boards of Goodwill NE Florida, World Affairs Council Jacksonville, Sulzbacher Village, Florida State College of Jacksonville Foundation, Volunteers In Medicine, LIFT JAX, Ascension St. Vincent’s Healthcare Foundation, Urban Land Institute - Public Private Partnership Council, LISC Jacksonville, Teach for America - Florida and Leadership Florida.
