   Technical Leader for a group of 2 teams in the Privacy space: Advanced Encryption and Data Deletion- For the Advanced Encryption global project, I am responsible for designing and implementing a Customer Managed Key (CMK / BYOK / HYOK) solution for Zendesk products. In this design, Zendesk is only able to lease an encryption key from a customer\'s KMS, letting them remain in control of their data- For the Data Deletion project, my focus is on designing scalable solutions to delete and redact content across Zendesk datastores.My responsibilities include- writing RFC and technical design documents on the project- work with 10+ dependency engineering teams across the globe to integrate with their features and remove blockers- code review and mentoring junior engineers in the team- advocate for Data Protection mindset across the engineering organizationMain tools used: Ruby on Rails, Envoy/Istio, gRPC, Java, DynamoDB.
