ABOUT AUGUST SIMIEN
I am a proud alumnus of Louisiana State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Law, Ethics, and Social Justice with a minor in Business Administration. Throughout my college career, I was heavily involved on campus by holding numerous leadership positions in organizations, including President of the Nu Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Vice President of Academic & Community Outreach of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Media Coordinator of the Minority Business Students Association, and more. These organizations prioritized improving academic performance and serving the community. I am currently a third-year student at Tulane University Law School pursuing my interest in civil litigation. Throughout my curriculum, I’ve focused on building practical skills through Tulane’s Moot Court program, enrolling in Trial Advocacy, and becoming a student-attorney in Tulane’s Civil Rights and Federal Practice Clinic. While always being appreciative of this excellent opportunity, I hope to make a meaningful difference by positively impacting my community and helping people in need.
