About August Geier

I love my work!My proudest accomplishment: I spent 6 weeks in Singapore where I trained and mentored a group of young software developers while also consulting on a few client projects. As part of this assignment I was able to put together comprehensive training material that can be reused to teach software development to any developer. My passion is teaching and helping others reach their goals.My most challenging accomplishment: I helped a client build a new software company that analyzes drone data and combines it with various other sources of data. I designed and implemented a cloud infrastructure that supports the software systems that I also designed and built.My experience includes- Designing and architecting, researching and developing proof of concepts, leading development initiatives (responsible for the full SDLC and ALM), and building brand new systems from the ground up as a full-stack developer- I use.NET Core, C#, JS, React, Knockout, and (T-)SQL (among other things) for building web apps, REST APIs, Win services, and console apps- I\'ve implemented CI & CD solutions using Azure DevOps. I\'ve built and supported TFS and Azure DevOps servers- Consulting on software projects and application security- Building and administering Windows and SQL servers- I\'ve been a code reviewer, interviewer, mentor, SA, BA, and PM- I practice the Agile/Scrum methodology.Throughout my career I worked with software developers, SAs, DBAs, PMs, functional area specialists, directors, presidents, and CEOs. I developed and supported software for all of these functional areas and troubleshot their app and computer issues as a user support technician. In addition to these responsibilities I researched and acquired new hardware for several of these areas.
