About Audra Balson
Ms. Balson has 22 years of consulting experience working on a wide variety of environmental and energy development projects across the United States and throughout the Caribbean. Her technical experience includes areas of environmental site assessment, remedial investigation, remedial design and implementation, protection of public and private water supplies, and aquifer characterization. For the past several years, she has focused on PFAS investigation and mitigation work for the Department of Defense. Ms. Balson’s graduate work concentrated on the correlation of Upper Cretaceous units of the Carolina Coastal Plain, with an emphasis in paleosols. Her work, which formally defines the Sunny Point Formation, is published in Southeastern Geology.
