About Aubrey Turnbow Frandsen
Following in the footsteps of my father, I chose secondary education for my career. With over 5 years of experience as a Career and Technical Education Coordinator and as the Utah FCCLA State Adviser, I am passionate about promoting personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. I work closely with teachers, counselors, students, and administrators to provide opportunities for skill development, career preparation, and community involvement in various vocational areas.As the Utah FCCLA State Adviser, I have had the privilege of guiding hundreds of student leaders and advisers across the state. Each year, I plan and execute statewide leadership conferences, adviser trainings, and competitive events that prepare students for national recognition. I collaborate with industry partners, educators, and stakeholders to strengthen the impact of FCCLA as an intracurricular student organization, ensuring students connect classroom learning with real-world leadership and career readiness.As a former Family and Consumer Sciences Educator, I also bring a strong background in topics such as finances, food safety, culinary arts, communication, relationships, child care, interior design, and sewing. I believe that these skills are essential for every individual to be a contributing member of society and to overcome or avoid common challenges.I also love to learn by doing and have traveled around the world, participated in multiple service missions, LDS mission to the Philippines, and organized student tours to Europe for three years. These experiences fuel my drive to provide meaningful opportunities for students and advisers alike—helping them see beyond the classroom and into a future full of possibility.
