Beginning as an instructor at Tutu School, I was able to share my passion for dance with twirlers aged 6 months old-8 years old. I have had the opportunity to utilize my knowledge of child development, movement-based therapy, and director skillset to increase learning opportunities for dancers and their families. Throughout my time with Tutu School, I have had the honor to be trained at a franchise level to pilot a division tailored for 6-18 month dancers. This division focuses on early childhood development, integrating skills for physical wellbeing, and providing family support. I have curated learning environments full of inclusivity for twirlers using wheelchairs, twirlers with Down syndrome, and twirlers with Autism. In these classes, I am able to promote disability advocacy, adapt education for each student in class, and hone into leading emotional regulation skills to increase success. I have also held leadership roles that include managing the Halcyon studio through executive skills, organizational planning leadership, and event development. I have held a Master Teacher position focusing my skillset on onboarding, teacher training, and providing a supportive mentorship environment. Finally, my work developing educational resources on deescalation techniques, building positive classroom management, and increasing inclusivity in the classroom has led to the opportunity to join at a franchise level under the title Inclusive Program Lead. I continue to build out curriculum, education, and supports at a franchise level for all Tutu Schools to provide inclusive dance to twirlers of all abilities.
