ABOUT ATUL K RATHORE

Atul holds the position of Managing Architect, where he serves as the Chief Data Architect, Principal Cloud Data Strategist and deputise Chief Data Officer. In this capacity, he is responsible for connecting CxO for business data strategy and AI data strategy. Atul oversees various critical areas, including cloud data architecture, data management, datamesh practice, cloud FinOps, data democratisation via governance, and advanced analytics architecture encompassing AI, Explainable AI (XAI) and MLOps. He plays a pivotal role as a core member of the Architectural Center of Excellence, contributing to the specialised knowledge and fostering a global community of practice aimed at aligning data platform expertise and experience worldwide. His AI Expertise & Strategic Vision in AI experimentation, embracing iterative learning and growth over perfection. He spearheaded AI adoption in high-stakes environments, reducing Phase-I trial failure risk from 90% to 70% and boosting Phase-II success rates by 10-15%, translating to $500M+ in efficiency gains.His contributions have been particularly impactful in the realm of financial institutions, where he has collaborated with prestigious entities such as Julius Baer, Credit Suisse, HSBC, RBS, Friends Life, CIBC, Bank of America, and JPMorgan. Additionally, Atul has played a crucial role in shaping the digital landscape of the UK Government, lending his expertise to government digital services for the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Department for Education (DfE), the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Ministry of Defence (MoD UK), the Home Office UK, Rolls Royce, the National Health Service (NHS), and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).His recent credentials include Scaled Agile SAFe, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, IBM Bluemix cloud, IBM Cognitive AI/ML, IBM Hyperledger blockchain, Linux Hyperledger blockchain, Cloudera big data, Collibra GDPR certifications.With an ownership role of creation, recognition, compliance endorsement and implementation of data strategy, architecture, models, design patterns and technology innovation artefacts for quick win and protecting existing investments. He has master’s degree in computer science from University of Liverpool and engineering degrees from the IIT-Kanpur. He is a chartered fellow (FBCS/CITP) of the British Computer Society. He has been subsequently awarded IT Professional titles of International Professional Engineer (IntPE), European Engineer (EurIng) and Chartered Engineer(CEng).
