ABOUT ATULGIRI MAYAGIRI GONSAI

Prof. Dr. Atul Gonsai, is Professor at Department of Computer Science, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. A renowned educationist and administrator, Prof. Atul started his academic career way back in 2020 and during the course of time, emerged as Computer Science scientist. He has total teaching experience of 23 years. He obtained his MCA, BBA degree from Saurashtra University, Rajkot. He obtained PhD in 2005 and became first Ph.D. holder of entire Saurashtra University. He has been awarded the \"CAREER AWARD FOR YOUNG TEACHERS” from AICTE Delhi with amount of Rs. 10.5 lakhs. His research interest encompasses Computer networks, wireless networks, Rate Control Protocol, Network Security, Encryption Decryption, Network performance tuning, Protocol development, Image Processing and Cloud computing etc. He has also served as the Member and Chairman of the various Committees of UGC/ AICTE/ IETE. He is a UGC nominated member of Board of Governance in 7 autonomous colleges. He is a member of ICT Committee of NAAC. He has rendered 8 times services for NAAC as peer team member. He is an active member of 4 Advisory body of various university. He has been a member of more than 24 Committees.He has 12 foreign Countries visit for Research and Extensions Activities. He has visited, USA, UK, Russia 2 Times, Hongkong, Mauritius, Lithuania 3 times, Nigeria, Latvia.He has 5 patents published. He has delivered 10 International lectures, 37 National Invited lectures and 9 TV/Radio Talks. He has been sponsored by British Council, European Union Erasmus+ and Russian Academy of Science and Northeastern Federal University Yakutsk, Russia. He got selected by Microsoft for training on networking and wireless networking at IISC Bangalore. He has been a member in Board of Studies at 11 universities throughout the Country. He holds 22 Professional Membership. He is the author of 8 books and over 138+ research papers related to computer science and computer networking in International and National Journals and conferences. He has taken part in 46 national and 30 international conferences and seminars. He has Completed 6 Research Projects funded by UGC and AICTE. He has rendered services as a reviewer for 16 journals and 24 conferences with session Chair/Judge in 24. He has worked as an expert for more than 75 different activities. He is life Member of ACM, CSI, ISTE, IETE and other 20 professional bodies. He was also coordinating the international relations and International Students cell of Saurashtra University.
