About Atul Dhir

Atul Dhir is a clean energy and development professional with over 15 years of multi domain experience in designing, managing and implementing a broad range of action-oriented clean energy partnerships across South Asia. He has worked closely with governments, development agencies, non profits and the private sector to support strategic energy transition, expand energy access, strengthen policy and regulatory framework, and deploy sustainable energy solutions such as round the clock clean models at scale.From 2016 to 2021, Atul served as a technical member of the dedicated PV Cell (PMU) at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), India. Under this project management unit, established under the EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (CECP) with project titled EU-India Technical Cooperation on Energy and Environment, Atul lead national-level technical assistance for verious renewable energy programs and supported sub-national governments on implementation strategies to accelerate RE development in alignment with India\'s 500GW by 2030 target. Over years, Atul has worked with renewable energy and energy efficiency industry in India and with key global development partners including the European Union (EU), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United States Energy Association (USEA),The Nature Conservancy (TNC), delivering technical assistance on clean energy initiatives in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Spain, and the Maldives. His work spans the design and management of technical cooperation projects, government relations, strategic partnerships, and policy advisory.
