ABOUT ATUL PATEL

A senior Director with over 25 years Top-Tier Banking experience in Quantitative Analysis, Risk Management and Automation. I have recently implemented a proof of value for robust & profitable trading strategies suitable for Family Offices and Hedge Funds (ARR ranging from 25% to 35% in simulated testing). Consistent and profitable trading is a most difficult and challenging undertaking. The expertise required to develop, optimize, validate and implement a robust trading strategy is difficult to source and retain and even more challenging to develop \"organically.\" Many firms and individual traders do not have the research and development expertise, capacity, or infrastructure required to correctly optimize and validate the robustness and other components of their trading strategy. I can bridge this gap for trading firms who aspire to be the best in their field. I cover technical and quantitative analysis including, strategy creation, design, optimization and validation as well as risk and portfolio management. Experience Highlights: • BSc (Hons) Physics and Ph.D Computational Mineral Physics (University College London) • Recently implemented indicators and strategies on vendor platform on Equity ETFs with Annual Rate Return ranging from 25% to 35%. • Use best practise risk based methodology to actively manage the risk incurred by trading strategies • Built and validated numerous derivative pricing models & market risk models; automated manual processes; and devised risk appetite framework that links to stress testing scenarios • Head of Market Risk for Exotic Equity Derivative Trading Desk • Have managed large teams (20+) across three regions (London, New York and New Delhi) • Ideal experience to fill the gap within the trading capability in Hedge Funds and Banking
