Throughout the course of my career, I have tried over 100 civil jury trials to verdict, an impressive accomplishment that is rare even among experienced trial lawyers. I have represented hundreds of people who were injured as a result of motor vehicle collisions, motorcycle collisions, unfair treatment by insurance companies, wrongful death, and legal malpractice.Throughout my career, I have provided personalized service to each client I work with, preferring to take part in every aspect of developing a case rather than relying on staff to manage its details. My approach to law has always been based on digging into the specifics of a case in order to see the larger picture more clearly, which requires personal interaction with the client and an understanding, working relationship.I am also president of Boyd Trial Consulting and have worked as a trial consultant throughout the United States since 1998. As a result of my extensive trial experience, other lawyers regularly hire me to assist them with their cases. I provide a variety of trial consulting services including interactive focus groups, mock trials, theme development, strategic analysis, witness preparation, jury selection, creation of demonstrative evidence, and trial coaching to enable other lawyers to effectively present their cases at trial.

   Boyd Trial Consulting provides the services:• Focus Groups and Mock Trials, including evaluation of liability, damages, defenses, exhibits, demonstrative evidence, and witnesses/parties (live or videotaped)• Developing themes that juries will understand and that will win the case• Discovering the plain-language words and phrases that jurors use to discuss the case with each other• Witness preparation – improving, through videotaping and review, how a witness looks and talks to enhance their delivery and credibility• Development of Voir Dire techniques for the lawyer and questions for the jury• Assistance with jury selection, in person, at trial• Assistance with jury selection through review of potential jurors’ answers to standard jury questionnaires (even if unavailable until the morning of trial)• Assistance with jury selection through the design of unique and relevant Supplemental Jury Questionnaires
