As a Dorset councillor representing Colehill and Wimborne Minster East, I bring over 30 years of senior commercial experience to the role, including business ownership, board-level leadership, and international contract negotiation with both major corporations and foreign governments.Throughout my career, I’ve focused on strategic decision-making, sound financial management, and delivering measurable outcomes. Now, I’m applying those same principles in public service, ensuring Dorset Council’s resources are managed responsibly, transparently, and always with our community’s best interests at heart.I currently serve on the Audit & Governance Committee, the People & Health Scrutiny Committee, and as Vice Chair of the Dorset Council Pension Fund, which oversees over £4 billion in long-term investments. These roles demand diligence, independence of thought, and a commitment to safeguarding public assets, values I bring to every decision I make.My priority is to represent residents with integrity, common sense, and a clear focus on practical results. That means standing up for the services that matter most, supporting those in need, and helping to build a local economy that works for everyone, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.Whether in business or public life, I’ve always believed in listening carefully, acting decisively, and staying accountable.
