As a Data Engineer Intern at Pigybak, I contributed to building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of large datasets. I worked with SQL, Python, and PySpark to clean, preprocess, and integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. I gained hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS S3, Redshift, Glue) for data storage and warehousing, while leveraging Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration. I assisted in designing data models and improving query performance for analytics use cases, collaborated with the engineering team to troubleshoot pipeline issues, and supported real-time data processing using Kafka. Additionally, I documented workflows, monitored data quality, and contributed to making data more reliable and accessible for downstream applications.
