I\'m a user experience (UX) designer, developer and leader and I love building software that helps people get work done.For most of my career my focus has been on business-oriented web software. I\'m at home figuring out how to make complex workflows simple, and worrying about all things data: exploration, visualization, management and sharing. I\'ve been known to have feelings about charts, tables and forms.My heart is always in UX design, but I have a head for product, and usually one foot in the code. Really, I just like doing whatever it takes to build great products. I\'ve also led multiple teams of designers, with an emphasis on mentorship and collaboration.I cut my teeth on the web in the first dot-com era, and have been fortunate enough to work with many talented people. Some of them tell me I\'m an honest guy with reasonable opinions who thinks things through but doesn\'t take them too seriously.
