About Aleks Petrov

Born in Bulgaria and raised in the United States, my journey has been marked by a deep interest in the intersection of finance and the energy sector. This passion led me to earn a BBA in Finance with a minor in Accounting from the University of Houston, from which I graduated in 2023 (Go Coogs!). My studies also took me back to my roots in Bulgaria for a period of study abroad, an experience that enriched my understanding of international business and broadened my perspective. This unique blend of international exposure and academic training has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices. As a recent graduate, I am now eager to channel my skills and knowledge into the energy industry, a sector I am particularly passionate about. I am committed to leveraging my financial, accounting, programming, and energy acumen to contribute to the industry as an aspiring energy professional.
