Hi, I\'m Atish and I am passionate about software engineering and data. I am deeply engrossed in the cutting-edge realms of data science, machine learning, and cloud computing. My academic foundation is robust, anchored in advanced mathematics, sophisticated programming techniques, and an unwavering commitment to solving complex problems. I have amassed a wealth of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and data analysis through my tenure as a Senior Software Development Engineer and Data Engineer within the data sciences team at Disney Star. There, I was instrumental in designing and implementing ETL pipelines, APIs, and data models that catered to a variety of data sources and IoT devices. My toolkit included Spark, Scala, Airflow, Fastapi, Pydantic, Redis, and GCP, enabling me to significantly enhance dashboard performance, streamline daily report generation, and foster data-driven decision-making processes. My initiatives in optimizing queries, migrating backend systems, and spearheading POCs for Presto and Starburst Trino were pivotal in delivering scalable and high-quality solutions. Collaborating closely with front-end teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders, I prided myself on my ability to bridge the gap between complex data engineering challenges and strategic business objectives. My expertise is deeply rooted in data warehousing, with a particular focus on Amazon Redshift, and Amazon RDS, as well as backend and data engineering.Additionally, my tenure as an intern at Goodera honed my skills in front-end development. I designed and built responsive dashboards using React, Node.js, and JavaScript, enabling various clients to effectively monitor and manage their CSR projects. This experience not only expanded my technical repertoire but also instilled in me a holistic understanding of software development.In my previous role at Bank of America, I am part of the Starburst/Trino Query Engine Team where I was leading a team of 4 developers developing the entire stack in and around the query engine.
