Built the BB Sambandh Portal from scratch utilizing Spring Boot,significantly streamlining vendor onboarding for Bigbasket through seamless integration with various internal and external third-party services. Successfully delivered a fast event workflow of product movement in the BB catalog system with guiding fellow junior engineers in the team that reduced processing time from 6 hours to max 10 minutes. Spearheaded the development of one stop solution to process high payload of data in streamlined batches using upload service for the business & enhanced the multi-tenant support for the same. Optimized multiple database queries by indexing, batching long writes etc to reduce overall load. Been on-call support to be POC for all the issues occurring within the team and monitor the metrics i.e. deployment, throughput, slow transactions etc of all microservices and advise on changes affiliated. Led the development of services utilizing reactive programming(rx JAVA & Vert.x), successfully overseeing projects such as BB-Daily, BB-Instant, Tata Neu, and Bigbasket web. Implemented optimization strategies to enhance efficiency by separating services with multiple databases and events in Kafka clusters, resulting in improved performance. Demonstrated a proactive approach towards system maintenance by monitoring service health on a daily basis using New Relic and Grafana, promptly resolving potential bugs and issues. Established asynchronous communication(webhooks) between third-party providers and Bigbasket by implementing webhooks, ensuring secure validation of user details. Enhanced data retrieval and image type validation by integrating OCR validation for product images.
