Accurately and promptly verify patients\' prescription drug coverage for a variety of disease states and prescription types, as well as supplies and services requested Cover multiple therapies as required Appropriately disposition cases based on complexity and urgency Conduct complex benefit investigations for complex payer/account relationships, therapy/payer types, and failed claims Address issues related to bad debt or entitlement through complex financial resolution and investigations Conduct proactive and requested prior authorizations, including submitting necessary medical documentation and monitoring follow-up for timely patient service Resolve Electronic Claim Submission (ECS) rejections and other insurance-related issues by contacting insurance carriers Verify patient coverage with insurance companies and ensure that MAJ verifications are performed according to guidelines Secure and verify a method of payment (MOP) for patients\' financial responsibility to prevent company bad debt Contact doctors\' offices for information to help resolve outstanding claims or insurance issues Follow all procedures for payers and manufacturer programs to ensure that all contractual obligations are met Work with Pharma contacts and HUBs for patient service, reporting, and follow-up on investigations Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for prescribers, patients, and others for high-touch customer service needs Obtain or validate accurate patient information, including diagnosis, insurance, and financial information, to complete enrollment applications for new patients Appropriately document patient financial responsibility for the pharmacy Provide high-touch patient support for complex or difficult patient situations Provide mentoring support for new hires learning the BV role or existing representatives. learning new skills/therapies
