ABOUT ATIE WAXMAN

Be accountable. Be remembered. Sometimes the path is right there in front of you, and other times you need to go searching. I have taken some unconventional routes to get to today - and each one of them has had a profound impact on how I see the world and how I treat others around me. Years ago I found my passion for writing - which led me to a University degree and later into the world of advertising. It\'s a field that has changed so much over the years, with each iteration spawning new opportunities to create strategic and meaningful content. I dove into design and art direction with an eye on reaching each demographic by tapping into what makes them tick. Fast forward through some amazing years in the fitness industry and I went back to University to become a high school teacher. LOVED that. and eventually went into Fundraising and Alumni Relations at my beloved Lower Canada College. My openness to change has allowed me to work with world leaders in a number of fields. I\'ve produced films with Oscar winning visual effects professionals, produced award winning creative with one of South Africa\'s leading advertising and real estate marketing companies, collaborated with a top ad agency in Greece, and pre-imagineered real estate projects with a leading architect in Brazil. And who can forget that time in Greece when we researched redeveloping a medieval town on the island of Chios and bringing mastiha to the world? I\'ve worked for non-profits, have successfully partnered with leading organizations (including the Montreal Canadiens Children\'s Foundation) and government agencies and have successfully produced projects with budgets ranging from millions of dollars to shoestring budgets, all with excellent production values. I believe in looking at everything from all angles and getting my feet wet. Forget about the glass half full analogy - I\'m thankful for having water in my glass and am always excited about the next chapter in my life\'s book.
