As a Chemist Trainee in the FR & D and Production department, I worked closely with the Production Manager and Head of Production to support various functional areas. My responsibilities were diverse, spanning across SOP compliance, daily production supervision, FR & D functions, documentation, equipment management, and interdepartmental coordination.1. SOP Knowledge and ExecutionI gained in-depth knowledge of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to production and manufacturing processes. I executed duties strictly as per set SOPs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.2. Production Supervision and Process Management- Supervised daily production activities- Assisted in creating effective production plans- Ensured manufacturing and packing teams followed SOPs- Trained operators and trainees to work independently- Monitored smooth production operations- Verified and documented deviations in batch processes- Ensured safety and quality measures3. FR & D Functions- Coordinated formulation and analytical resources- Prepared manufacturing trial documentation- Participated in product failure investigations- Actively involved in troubleshooting activities4. Production-related Documentation- Maintained Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packaging Records (BPR)- Assisted QA in reviewing and updating documentation- Evaluated new artwork drafts and provided recommendations5. Managing Machinery, Equipment, and Manufacturing Facility- Maintained process areas and equipment to avoid downtime- Ensured prompt issue resolution- Oversaw proper manufacturing protocols- Maintained differential pressures and cleanliness6. Interdepartmental Coordination- Liaised with Store department for material issuance- Coordinated with Engineering department for equipment maintenance- Worked closely with QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues
