About Amelia Thieman

I’m a senior civil engineering student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a strong interest in structural design and sustainable infrastructure. I’m passionate about serving communities through thoughtful engineering and am driven by the opportunity to improve lives through well-designed public infrastructure. Most recently, I completed an internship with Parsons where I worked on bridge design projects including the Honolulu Rail Transit Project and the Grand Parkway project. This experience expanded my technical skills in bridge design and structural analysis while deepening my understanding of real-world project coordination. Previously, I interned with Indian Health Service in the Sanitation Facilities and Construction office, where I worked on water and wastewater systems to support Native American communities. My goal is to continue growing as a civil engineer while pursuing projects that improve access, safety, and sustainability for communities around the world.
