ABOUT ATHARVA BHARDWAJ

I’m a curious builder working at the intersection of quantitative finance, AI systems, and next-gen research technologies. My journey spans signal engineering, financial modeling, and machine intelligence, with a consistent drive to create systems that think, adapt, and deliver insights at scale.Currently, I’m a Quantitative Research Consultant at WorldQuant, where I design high-quality alpha signals using Fast Expression Language (FEL). My work involves transforming raw financial and alternative data into predictive models that pass rigorous performance, robustness, and risk-adjusted return criteria. I recently crossed points on the WorldQuant BRAIN platform and joined the global research network.Alongside that, I’ve been contributing to NASA’s Dark Energy Explorers project as a Citizen Scientist, helping classify faint, ancient galaxies to support research into the accelerating expansion of our universe. It’s been a humbling experience to participate in something so foundational to cosmology.I also co-founded The Insight Foundry, an applied research collective focused on building self-correcting AI systems, agentic automation workflows, and smart data infrastructures. Our work spans across autonomous research agents, full-stack AI deployments, and intelligent signal feedback loops.Academically, I’m pursuing a B.Tech from NIT Calicut, a BSc from IIT Madras, and a minor from IIT Mandi, while representing India as a Delegate at the Asia Investment & Banking Conference 2025 in Singapore.
