Director of the Pharmacology team at Complement Therapeutics, focusing on advancing our lead Gene Therapy candidate towards IND filing and clinical trials for macular degeneration [AMD]. My work focuses on a spectrum of preclinical activities: develop and optimize assays, target engagement (TE), biomarker discovery, detailed pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) analyses. Additionally, we are involved in assessing the efficacy and pharmacological dynamics of our gene therapy treatments through in-vitro and in-vivo studies, employing cell biology & target engagement mechanistic approaches. I also have the opportunity to utilise my in-silico expertise to perform target discovery using -omics studies to widen our pipeline with novel anti-inflammatory gene therapy assets for immunofibrotic & neurodegenerative diseases
