ABOUT DEREK ATCHLEY
My previous work experience has been within various academic laboratories. My research interests primarily lie within behavioral neuroscience, specifically the neurobiology of stress, pain, and social relationships. Throughout my training, I have gained important verbal, written, and presentation skills. My research has incorporated techniques from many disciplines including psychology, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and statistics. These experiences have enhanced my problem solving capabilities by using multiple approaches. Furthermore, my lab training has allowed me to develop innovative and effective solutions to a problem. Recently, I have been able to utilize these skills to apply to new industries and work settings. As a research associate with the JMJ Phillip Group, I have applied research skills such as search techniques and data analysis to seek out top talent for clients in the manufacturing industry.
