ABOUT ASWIN MANGERICH
The Nutritional Toxicology group investigates how diet and foodborne toxicants affect biological processes focusing on genotoxicity, aging, and chronic disease development. Using 3R-compliant models like C. elegans and human cell systems, we translate mechanistic insights into real-world contexts to support preventive nutrition and regulatory decision-making. Alongside our research, we are actively engaged in teaching within the international Master’s program in Toxicology and the Nutritional Science programs at the University of Potsdam. Our goal is to provide students with a research-oriented, interdisciplinary education that emphasizes critical thinking, translational relevance, and scientific rigor.
