ABOUT ASTRID CLAVÉ

You could say, I have LIVED a little. I am a teacher, writer, visual artist, and humanist - my heart also beats for culture, film, music, health and politics. As a young world explorer, I loved vibrant London and the Californian desert, where I attended Serrano High School. Growing up in Cologne, I discovered my love for the ARTS and electronic music. In may early 20s I started DJing, and later accompanied live acts with VJ gigs. In the late 90s, I was part of the London troupe that later on founded Last.Fm. During my BA at UEL London, I ran the Notting Hill Housing Trust shop in South Kensington, where I dressed some of my favourite 60s film celebrities. I worked as a music journalist and later became involved with the Shaolin Temple Berlin. As a visual artist, I shot my documentary film \'Hanyu Heroes\' in China, where I was trained in Chinese martial arts. In 2006, I co-founded \'Never Mind The Gap\', a visual production company based in Beijing. I\'ve always been passionate about exploring the inhabitants of this world - many hotspots became my home for a long time. I am still inspired by the many encounters I have had with a wide variety of people and places. Storytelling plays a big part in my life and over time the desire grew to reflect on my experiences in writing, coaching and teaching. Since graduating from UAL, I have worked as a professional author, screenwriter, creating and developing story content/concepts and venturing into other areas professionally. My debut novel \"You Don\'t Know Me\", was an Amazon bestseller for 6 weeks in the paid category \"English Crime Thriller Fiction\" next to giants like Stephen King or Ken Follet. The book also ranked #1 in the critical fiction category. I strongly believe that you can have multiple passions in life, which I master with great enthusiasm. In 2021 I completed a screenplay feature for PC Neumann and Constantin Moovie.
