ABOUT ASTHA NEGI
I am a Principal Transportation Planner at Middlesex County working with Active Transportation and Regional Transportation Planning for the Office of Planning. I have 8 years of experience in urban design and planning for roadway safety, active transportation and public transit improvement. I have worked on initiatives involving Vision Zero, Complete Streets, micro-mobility, bike and pedestrian planning, road safety, multimodal integration, and related urban planning tangents. I bring a balanced approach of technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving to deliver safer, more connected streets.In my current role, I lead the Vision Zero Implementation initiative and the Road Saftey Audits at the County. My other responsibilities include working for transportation master plan, bike and pedestrian planning, greenways planning, grant applications, and other inter/intra agency transportation planning coordination.With a Master of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers, my expertise is creating impactful transport solutions prioritizing safety and equitable access for all.
