Drove strategic direction and risk oversight across CGM, delivering the 2024 Strategy Plan in partnership with product heads, finance, and operations - aligning business objectives and performance assumptions across all underwriting lines.• Conducted in-depth market research into new and emerging product lines, including those not currently underwritten, using historic performance data, peer benchmarking, and broker engagement to assess growth opportunities and inform strategy.• Built an onboarding and underwriting portal used by over 200 underwriters across CGM, centralising underwriting tools and systems, and procedural guidelines - significantly improving operational accessibility and consistency.• Led the review and remediation of the Assumed Facultative Reinsurance framework, delivering a simplified approach for underwriters that removed inefficiencies and reduced wasted underwriter time. Collaborated with Legal to facilitate industry standard-setting discussion with the IUA.• Contributed to the successful submission of the Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF) through collation and consolidation of product narratives, working with product, actuarial and finance teams to meet Lloyd’s regulatory expectations.• Co-facilitated CGM’s Innovation Hub by managing a live pipeline of product and data innovation opportunities (e.g. Parametric, Carbon Risk, Title Insurance), facilitating broker and vendor discussions, and developing business cases.• Acted as a first-time manager to a Strategy & Risk apprentice, leading their onboarding, delivering multiple educational sessions, and involving them in strategic initiatives to provide meaningful exposure to the insurance industry.
