About my organization:Amazon Payments is the group that makes it easy - even fun- to pay for purchases on Amazon. We bring you the popular Amazon Gift Card, our private-label and co-branded credit cards (5% rewards, anyone?), the Shop With Points program, a suite of Installment Lending products, the Amazon Currency Converter for cross-border purchases, and a host of upcoming new products that we can\'t talk about just yet. We drive billions of dollars in payment processing activity on Amazon and we funnel billions of dollars of payouts to our many business partners. About me:I am a technology executive and entrepreneur who has built and led software engineering teams for early-stage startups as well as global enterprises. I currently lead and/or advise on a range of cross-functional technology programs at Amazon Payments, which builds Amazon\'s core payments processing infrastructure and the essential parts of the Amazon payment experience, along with payment products like Gift Cards, Amazon Currency Converter, Shop With Points and several Seller-facing payments systems. Prior to my current role, I was Director of Engineering for a number of these large payments businesses, leading organizations of 250+ technologists. Previously, I was a Director at Whitepages.com and served as VP Engineering for a number of Seattle-based startups. In 2007, I co-founded Mergelab with former colleagues from Openwave Systems to build an innovative mobile contact management solution. I am passionate about developing careers in technology and I enjoy keeping in touch with a broad network of advisors, former colleagues and mentees.
