ABOUT ALEXANDER M. SÖLCH

Hi, I\'m Alex. I\'m an Engagement Manager at Strategy & . With a strong footprint in the Financial Services industry, Strategy & is known for its dynamism and strive for excellence. With c. 8 years of experience in consultancies and hyper-growth start-ups leading teams of up to 20 people, I have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex growth and transformational projects ranging from growth strategies over post-merger integrations (eg Credit Suisse-UBS) to major strategic transformations, IPOs and cost benchmarkings, usually for banks, fintechs and financial services providers incl. stock exchanges. I also had the privilege of working as an assistant to Prof. Dr. h.c. Roland Berger, the founder of Europe\'s largest strategy consultancy, which helped me build an extensive international network across both corporates and governmental institutions. As a trustee for the Mannheim Forum, I regulary leverage this network to the benefit of my Alma Mater, the University of Mannheim, Germany\'s most acclaimed public business and economics university. As an avid world explorer and coming from a displaced family, I enjoy having the opportunity to travel and move on deliberate terms extensively, from Mexico to North Korea, Taiwan to the US, Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi, and across Europe, to only name a few. Some of my most remarkable journeys include an extensive trip through New Zealand, a bike tour across Taiwan and a miles car journey from San Diego to New York. This has shaped me into an open-minded, eager to learn, and curious individual. I\'ve had work assignments in Germany, China/Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, UK, US, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, and Czechia.🥁 Outside of work, I\'m equally committed to my passions. I\'m a hall-of-famer in 100km runs and a regular marathon runner. I have a great passion for concerts, particularly enjoying the fills of Gavin Harrison, Danny Carey, and Mike Portnoy, as well as the compositions of Steven Wilson, Nick Cave and Cosmo Sheldrake. Socially, I love spending time with my family, friends and colleagues, hiking in the Alps, thereby taking refreshing dips in mountain lakes. I also enjoy training matches on the grounds of FC Bayern Munich - it\'s been quite a journey from being a young fan to actually enjoying the pleasure of participating in the training activities. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn to learn more about my experiences and explore potential opportunities. I look forward to i••••••••@strategyand.pwc.com
