I have been working with FDCI for the last 15 years. I have been writing their blog and also handling the content for all communication that is disseminated from the reputed fashion body. The key was to set up a blog, work on getting the most effective content for media houses. I have managed not just the fashion weeks but also the coveted couture weeks in terms of content direction and understanding the changing industry and its demands. It is fascinating to see the space grow and evolve over the last 30 years. ABOUT ASMITA AGGARWAL
Have almost 30 years of experience in print media. Have worked for leading media houses like The Hindustan Times (HT City), The Asian Age and the India Today group. Set up the fashion blog for Koovs and have been writing the blog for the Fashion Design Council of India for 12 years. I had the opportunity to edit an almost 70-year-old French couture magazine L\'Officiel, which was both a challenge and a delight. Specialisation in fashion and lifestyle journalism. I have been teaching fashion communication at the Pearl Academy, Delhi for the last 12 years, as well as fashion journalism and creative writing at NIFT (Delhi). I launched/brainstormed/edited a bridal fashion magazine that is a collector’s item brought out artistically titled Bridal Asia three years ago. I have been writing a weekly fashion column for Dainik Bhaskar for the last 12 years. I have helped author a book for a leading law firm Anand And Anand released by Manish Malhotra. I’ve been a contributing writer for Khaleej Times for last few months.
