ABOUT ASMA YOUNUS-HANIF
To be clear all views expressed are my own and not affiliated with any organisation. I will always speak openly and honestly professional with experience in strategy and execution across channels. Not one to shy away from hard work and a challenge, I wear many, many hats: Currently lead the PwC TMT industry marketing for the UK. Working with our national marketing teams and global territories, working on events and activities across the UK. Split my time between Manchester and London. Reach out if you want to grab a coffee or a chat in either city. In early 2019, I co-founded IslamicArtPrints.com - born out of a desire to create a curated, artist-driven platform of affordable Islamic art. The site is managed by our expert team and having built the initial site, my role now involves outlining marketing strategy and consulting on direction and content creation. Having worked with start-ups and SMEs since the age of 18, I am passionate about supporting and advising individuals who are starting off on their journey, especially those from ethnic minority backgrounds who may not have been able to find the support they need. There is nothing that brings me greater joy than presenting on BBC Radio Manchester (catch it on FM, digital or through the BBC Sounds app). Host Sunday Breakfast and have worked across the network on evenings, drive, weekday breakfast and also on local OBs. If you are based in Manchester and have a story to share, feel free to get in touch. Local radio is for the people and we are committed to providing a service to Greater Manchester, keeping you informed, entertained, and lifting spirits even when times are tough.()As someone who has spent her entire career putting in double the hours and working harder and harder to prove that I deserve the right to a promotion, I am very aware of the struggles faced by members of my community in trying to get ahead at work. I am now actively looking for opportunities to help promote diversity and inclusion in every workplace. If you’d like more information on any of the above or to discuss some of the other projects I am involved in that you see cropping up on my feed, feel free to drop me a line.
