ABOUT IPEKLI
With over 20 years in education, my work focuses on academic writing, language education, and student learning in multilingual university environments. I am currently the Associate Director of English Studies at Acsenda School of Management in Vancouver, where I teach Business Communication while contributing to the coordination of academic writing courses, curriculum development, faculty support, and the administration of English placement testing.My teaching centers on academic writing, argumentation, and source integration, supporting students as they transition into university-level writing and disciplinary communication. I am particularly interested in the evolving role of generative AI in academic writing and assessment, which also informs my doctoral research at the University of British Columbia.Alongside my academic work, I have been an IELTS examiner for over a decade, assessing thousands of candidates and developing extensive experience in evaluating academic language proficiency across international contexts.
