ABOUT ANDREW SIMPSON
It is always easy to talk about putting customers at the heart of your business but doing it is something I am passionate about. As an experienced marketing and product management professional I have a record in building new products around customer needs that lead to improved commercial success.Whilst my background is in the financial services sector, and in particular insurance and credit products, I have the skills to make a positive contribution to other sectors which is something I do in my voluntary work outside of the ‘day job’. While I started my career in a ‘traditional’ financial services company I was then lucky enough to work for a brand-new start up provider. In this role as a direct marketeer the business lived or died down to the success of the marketing activity I was delivering. Luckily, it was successful!I then moved to the retail sector with marketing and then managing insurance or credit products that were offered to customers as part of building on their brand loyalty or to help drive sales for the retail business. Over the years I have managed and marketed some complex and difficult products and suppliers and key to that has been building teamwork and shared objectives whilst ensuring compliance with the relevant regulatory and customer focused requirements.
