I\'m Andrew Silva, a multifaceted professional with an extensive background in logistics, human resources, and sales, as well as an accomplished athlete representing the United States in Olympic weightlifting. Education: I hold a degree in psychology from Kansas State University. My educational background has been invaluable in understanding people, team dynamics, and driving positive organizational change. College Baseball: While at Kansas State, I exhibited exemplary athleticism as a utility player in college baseball and was honored with All-Conference Big 12 recognition. Professional Journey: My career began in the warehouse sector. Starting as an employee, my diligence and leadership abilities were quickly recognized, and I climbed the ranks to Warehouse Manager within 6 months, overseeing 50+ employees. This experience segued into a role in Human Resources and eventually into the drayage industry. Logistics & Transportation: With 15 enriching years at General Logistics Services, I expanded my industry expertise. Currently, I’m with Plentitude Transportation, Inc, where I contribute in various capacities including Dispatch, Customer Service Representative, and Sales Manager.‍ Olympic Weightlifting: As an avid weightlifter, I had the distinct honor of representing the United States in Olympic Weightlifting in the Masters category in 2022 and 2023. My proudest moment was achieving the Pan-American Bronze Medal in the 89 kg Masters category in 2022. The dedication, focus, and competitive spirit I cultivate in sports are attributes I bring into my professional life. Media Spotlight: In 2023, NY Weekly featured me in an article about a sales trip to Nashville, Tennessee. My Approach: My mantra is to be fast and accurate, creative and fun, curious and adventurous, and kind and fair.
