Working in the Reactor Materials Group (Advanced Materials Characterization Team) at PNNL to support additive manufacturing of nuclear reactor materials (Austenitic, F/M Steels) and alloy development.• Led prototype part fabrication via laser powder directed energy deposition (LP-DED) in collaboration with Purdue University and conducted microstructural characterization and mechanical property evaluations before and after heat treatment to assess material performance.• Machining of tensile specimens from LP-DED blocks (A709 Steel, and Grade 92 Steel) and conducted tensile testing at room and elevated temperatures (550°C) in accordance with ASTM standards, followed by fracture analysis to assess material behavior and failure mechanisms.• Microstructural characterization and hardness determination of oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steels based on different processing routes.
