ABOUT ASIA WATSON

Asia Watson is an aspiring Public Relations professional with a strong interest in fast-paced industries such as advertising, media, and strategic communications. She is a Public Relations student at Auburn University, maintaining a 3.6 GPA and earning Dean’s List recognition.Asia is currently gaining industry experience as a Public Relations Intern at JMG Public Relations, where she supports media research, press materials, and client communications. She is developing skills in writing press summaries, press releases, briefing documents, and drafting press clippings. She also assists with media list research and development.Asia Watson served as an Air Force ROTC cadet for 3 years, where she developed leadership, strategic communication, and officer-level skills through hands-on training, team leadership, and professional development emphasizing decision-making and accountability. She held the position of Public Affairs Flight Commander, managing the detachment’s social media platforms, photographing weekly training events to create strategic content, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule of 2–3 posts per week, which drove a 69% increase in social media engagement. In this role, she monitored analytics, enhanced internal and external communications, and led the public affairs team, resulting in measurable improvements in the detachment’s outreach and engagement.In addition to her academic and professional roles, Asia is an active member of The Oaks Agency and serves on the Digital Design Committee, where she has contributed to creative projects for organizations such as Opelika Main Street, supporting local businesses through strategic digital content. She was also recruited to join the Fetii Brand, a ride-sharing service, where she serves as the Instagram Account Manager for Fetii Auburn, managing content and engagement to strengthen the brand\'s presence on campus. Her efforts drove over followers within the first six months and generated a record 2.1 million views in a single month.Asia brings over 3 years of experience as an instrument instructor, having taught 250+ students and earning recognition as Instructor of the Month, further strengthening her ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. She is eager to continue growing within the public relations field and to support organizations through strategic communication, creative storytelling, and relationship-driven messaging.
