ABOUT ASIA MCCOY CRN
I currently work as a Clinical Trials Nurse in Genitourinary Medicine (Bladder specifically). I\'ve been an employee at MSKCC since 1998 as an office coordinator, clinical research associate and clinical research supervisor. In 2008 I started my nursing career on M16 in Gastrointestinal Medicine/Surgery and Melanoma/Sarcoma. In 2009, I transitioned to outpatient GI Medicine/Melanoma-Sarcoma as an unit practice nurse in late 2009. Though I love taking care of patients and their caregivers, technology holds a special place in my work life as well. It\'s something that comes easy to me and I enjoy investigating application function and systems to increase knowledge and determine best practices. I\'m also vested in making sure colleagues and patients receive the full benefit of technology available for use through MSK. I previously served as Co-Chair, Chair, and Ex-Oficio of MSK\'s Outpatient Nursing Informatics Council from 20••••24. Currently, I continue to be an active member. This council affords me the opportunity to work across divisions to amplify the collective nursing voice when implementing and developing tools to be utilized daily at the institution.
