ABOUT ASHWINI REGE.

I am a pathologist with a total of 15+ years of experience. I am a value add to any hospital/pathology team as I possess various technical skill sets in the Pathology domain and am an expert researcher as well as excellent teacher. I have a fantastic command of the English language, like a native speaker. As a pathologist, I am comfortable with reporting specialty as well as routine pathology, managing quality control protocols and handling audits. I can perform and report FNACs - including guided FNACs as well as Bone marrow aspirations and trephine biopsies and PAP smears. Summer of 2015 I attended 3 months observer\'s post at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai to learn flow cytometric analysis of peripheral blood and bone marrow. This posting has given me an opportunity to see and report bone marrow aspirate and biopsy morphology of different hematological conditions, and a very good exposure to frozen sections. My chief interests are cytopathology, hematolymphoid system, infectious diseases and nephropathology. I am trained as an Internal auditor for Pathology laboratories at BITS,Delhi and have successfully led,both, SRL Pune and Dr.Lal Path Labs reference laboratories,Mumbai through NABL accreditation audits for ISO 15189. I have led several small and medium sized multidisciplinary teams while I manned various leadership positions in last several years. During my digress from my core domain of Pathology, I have acquired additional skill sets complementary to my Pathologist profile. My degree from Johns Hopkins gives me a strong base in research methods, research publications writing as well as data evaluation. Having been an Associate instructor for undergraduate students at Indiana University, I have clear and sound knowledge of designing a course and conducting student evaluation. I love to teach students and love finding newer and interactive ways to present learning material.
