I am a seasoned, highly focused drug discovery professional, passionate about making billion-dollar drugs and benefitting billions of patients, creating a difference in the quality of life worldwide. I am contributing to the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics department as a Senior Principal Scientist of Syngene International Limited, successfully executing the duties of a DMPK representative in Integrated drug discovery projects, with a proven track record on leading the DMPK function and supporting Drug Discovery Projects (collaboration with large and medium size pharmaceutical companies) across different therapeutic areas and providing “tailor-made” strategies to understand “Chemical Structure – ADME” relationships, specifically in lead-identification/optimization stages. I lead the bioanalytical team involved in LC-MS-based quantification of new molecular entities in various biological matrices such as plasma, serum, urine, tissue homogenates, synovial fluid, bone marrow, cerebral spinal fluids, etc. Expertise in Biomarker analysis, Biotransformation studies of small molecules, and complex bioanalytical approaches like chemical derivatization to enhance ionization or chromatographic retention of challenging molecules. Before Syngene, I worked in various positions of increasing responsibility in Eurofins, Advinus, and Ranbaxy since January 2004. Possess excellent project management capabilities and can “get the job done.” Good at managing and developing a team of scientists and successfully executing “challenging assignments,” I am an appreciated leader with a proven ability to establish, employ, mentor, and achieve goals.
