Hello, I’m Ashwani Sharma, a passionate and driven Senior Advisor, Observability at Laurentian Bank, where I’m helping modernize and scale the bank’s monitoring and observability capabilities across hybrid cloud environments. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Big Data Solution Architecture from Conestoga College, where I graduated with distinction and earned a place on the Dean’s List.In my current role, I lead the implementation and optimization of observability tools and frameworks including Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana. I collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Development teams to embed monitoring into CI/CD pipelines and deliver full-stack visibility across cloud (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and on-prem infrastructure. My focus is on developing robust dashboards, actionable alerts, and automated workflows to proactively detect, triage, and resolve issues—ensuring performance, availability, and reliability across critical systems.I specialize in analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to uncover bottlenecks and drive improvements to SLOs and SLIs. I also automate observability tasks using Python, Bash, and Terraform, while optimizing configurations to reduce alert noise and improve signal fidelity. My goal is to ensure consistency, reliability, and insight across deployments through well-documented best practices and proactive monitoring design.I’m committed to advancing the practice of Observability, championing system reliability, and supporting engineering teams with data-driven insights and scalable solutions.
