ABOUT ASHUTOSH RAI

Currently serving as the Co-founder & CTO of ManuDocs (B2B AI SAAS), India’s Unified Digital Trade Interface incubated at BITS Pilani PIEDS (RAKESH KAPOOR INNOVATION CENTRE), I am working on building core digital infrastructure to make global trade from India as simple, secure, and trusted as UPI is for payments. Along with my three co-founders, I am driven by a single vision: enabling Indian MSMEs, enterprises, merchant exporters, importers, and business owners to trade cross-border effortlessly through a unified, transparent, and technology-first platform. At ManuDocs AI, we are eliminating manual documentation, reducing dependency on fragmented agents, and bringing complete end-to-end transparency across workflows, pricing, payments, customs clearances, Bill of Lading ownership transfers, export schemes, incentives, GST refunds, and benefit-claiming processes. The platform acts as a digital bridge across the entire trade ecosystem with key government and port systems such as DGFT, ICEGATE, e-Sanchit, NLP Marine, PCS1x, freight rate systems, and other critical trade infrastructure, while simultaneously connecting exporters, importers, Customs House Agents, freight forwarders, transporters, 3PLs, shipping lines, port terminals, and logistics stakeholders into a single orchestrated workflow. As a core technical and leadership member at manudocs since day zero, my role as CTO extends beyond engineering into designing a resilient, cloud-native, and compliance-first platform that is reliable, intuitive for non-technical users, easily maintainable, and scalable across documents, users, geographies, and rapidly evolving regulations. I lead system architecture, agentic AI workflow design, rule-based and AI-assisted compliance engines, real-time regulatory sync for policy changes, FTAs, tariffs, incentives, and customs processes, as well as blockchain-based document ownership and transfer mechanisms to establish trust and immutability. My responsibilities also include platform security and governance through role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC), encryption, audit trails, secure cloud infrastructure, and error-intolerant AI model training pipelines for mission-critical trade operations. I strongly believe in deeply understanding systems before building solutions, and my work focuses on combining TradeTech, RegTech, AI automation, and digital public infrastructure to create foundational systems that can scale globally and power India’s export-led growth for the long term.
