Hello, I am currently in Master’s program in Artificial Intelligence at Khoury College of Computer Sciences, Northeaster University, Boston. I am expected to graduate in May 2023. I received my degree - B.Tech in Information Technology from NITK. I worked for four years as a Software Engineer in Asset Management Compliance unit of Fidelity Investments, Bengaluru, India. There, my experience has been transforming and wholesome, in that I gathered an insight to software development, learned technologies that expanded my skill set, and got an overview of the complicated process that goes behind trading. Furthermore, working in a team, I realized the importance of an effective communication, and learned from the experience of others. My achievements- Involved in development of critical Java services that helped in more frequent and faster compliance check on the trade orders- Carried out technological upgrade of an application crucial to the interaction of compliance systems and trading partners. Furthermore, mentored my peers so that they can also engage in the upgrade of other associated applications- Working as a Full stack engineer for Regulatory Reporting team, contributed to UI and middle tier development as well as testing of the applications- Involved in designing and remodeling a reporting service, by examining the requirements and advising the best plan for development. While I have enjoyed working in my previous job, my passion in NLP and AI has motivated me to pursue my masters in this area. My background in AI is - Project on comparison of various ML algorithms, identification of RedFlags in lease documents- Worked on projects like “Identification of Manufacturer in item labels”, “Extraction of relevant phrases from business descriptions using unsupervised ranking techniques”, and “Prediction of number of Filing Notification”- Online courses in RL and NLP on Udemy. For the major project, designed a generic knowledge graph to support multi-modal data under the supervision of Dr. Sowmya Kamath. My skill set includes - knowledge of languages like Java, Python, HTML, JavaScript. Libraries and tools like Pytorch, NLTK, Spacy, pandas SpringMVC, Kafka,JMS. Presently, I am looking for internship opportunities, that would also help me prepare to shift my career to roles that are more inclined towards Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist. On a personal note, when I am not studying or working, I spend my time cooking. I have a food photography blog on Instagram. I like poetry, and I am also a fitness enthusiast.
