ABOUT ASHUTOSH GARG

I have close to 12 years of experience in Risk Management (Credit & Market) and Investment Banking Domain with Barclays, Standard Chartered, Credit Suisse, CitiBank and ABN AMRO. I am an FRM charter holder and cleared CFA Level 1. I am also a student member of Institute of Actuaries of India. I started my career with aerospace domain in Infosys. But then I came across the book \"The Pursuit of Happyness\" by Chris Gardener. That day I decided to pursue my dream passion for core finance. Finally, after working for around 4+ years in ABN AMRO Account in Market Risk and financial modelling domain and requirement gathering & maintenance of Portfolio Management Tool, SOPHIS, I found out that my learning curve in finance stopped growing. Hence, I decided to go for my MBA from IIM Shillong. During my tenure in IIM, I picked up expertise on the analytical skills in Excel, risk management, R Tool, Financial modeling, Valuation analysis, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Fundamental and Technical Analysis. Moreover, I finished a few equity research projects at National level and cleared my ACET exam as well. During the final module of course I did my dissertation research paper on \"Study of Indian Corporate Bond Markets\". Currently, I am working as an AVP Business Analyst with Barclays into Market Risk space (FRTB, Full Reval, LIBOR transitioning). I have also worked on VaR monitoring application at Infosys for ABN AMRO. Now with all the work experience and thorough academic knowledge, I wish to continue my career in a suitable Risk Management opportunity, in order to work towards becoming an SME.
