Overall Research Background:My research focuses on Computational Solid Mechanics with a specialization in Tribology. This focuses on computational methods to analyze contact evolution in micro-asperity-based rough surfaces with materials like metal, rubber, and skin. This is a contribution towards understanding microscopic contact mechanics for enhanced design at the macroscopic level for various applications.Current Work: Design and development of contact Interfaces for next-gen electrical connectors using tribology principles and predictive models.PhD Thesis:An effort to understand the underlying biomechanics of complex contact interactions involving human skin with variations of physiological and morphological characteristics due to humidity, age, location, etc. I have developed algorithms to determine the directionality of rough surfaces or skin tension lines using statistical tools.Experience:•I have worked as an Intern CAE analyst with Innovative Numerics in the design and development phase of a camera product of Rylo, Inc.•I have worked as a Graduate Research Assistant with the University of Cincinnati Simulation Center on a Proctor & Gamble-funded project. My work involves handling experimental datasets, Non-Linear Material modeling, using user subroutines, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Automating scripts for Family Care Projects.• I have experience with Machine Learning projects for complex systems. This involves data classification from images and learning models to determine optimum operating conditions to generate surface roughness.Publication:1.
