About Ashutosh Kumar
Photonic Inc. promises a scalable distributed quantum architecture for fault tolerant quantum computing by employing highly efficient Silicon spin-photon interfaces. As a quantum algorithm developer, I am developing optimal fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for deployment on the Photonic Inc.’s quantum computer. In the past, I have worked on the interface of quantum computing and quantum chemistry, designing and implementing efficient and accurate methods for simulating molecular systems on quantum devices. During my postdocs at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Virginia Tech, I published six high quality scientific manuscripts on the development of quantum resource reduction techniques, quantum modeling of molecular excited states and response properties, evaluating the challenges in initial state preparations for strongly correlated molecular systems etc. In other works, I have also developed and implemented reduced-scaling approaches in the context of coupled-cluster theory to enable accurate simulations of large molecular systems and have contributed to several open-source quantum chemistry software packages, such as Psi4, Psi4Numpy, ORCA, MPQC etc.
